Jennifer Ramsey has had a passion for interior design her whole life, and decided to pursue that dream by starting with her BA in Interior Design from CSU, Chico. After college, she jumped into her career as a design assistant for a luxury design firm in the Bay Area. She had worked over 10 years in the design industry before creating Jennifer Ramsey Interiors in 2019. She serves the greater Sacramento area, and beyond, and loves helping people fall in love with their space, and making their home their favorite place to be. When she is not designing she is spending time with her husband and two boys at her home in the Sierra Foothills.
The living room offers pattern play with custom Norwalk upholstery, and a checkered rug by Surya. The grand flanking cabinets are from Fourhands that are centered with a custom platstered finish fireplace surround by Tankersley Construction.
It was important for the island to feel like a standalone furniture piece, so we customized it with Tankersley Construction. In order to keep it the focal point, we wanted to have a tonal perimeter so we finished the cabinets in Revere Pewter and used Marin Sand Dollar from Bedrosians.
We wanted a cozy but clean eating nook, so we used this fluted dining table by Alder and Tweed for dimension, chairs from Fourhands and a fluted pendant from Hudson Valley Lighting.
We knew when we found this concrete sink from Native Trails we had to create something dramatic around it. The custom vanity and fully plastered walls and shower did just that and were brought to life by the Tankersley Construction team. The sconces from Hudson Valley brought the white full circle onto the walls.
This velvet bed from Fourhands created the perfect sanctuary and brought depth to a bright space. The Jaipur rug brought the pattern to the room.
The primary bath is the crème de la crème with a custom plaster fluted backing behind the tub and fluted cabinet fronts so the space is brought together with those little custom details. The mix of modern and traditional make the space unique and timeless. Lights by Hudson Valley Lighting, plumbing by Kohler and custom pieces by Tankersley Construction.
