The clock is ticking on one of Southern California’s most anticipated design events. The 61st Pasadena Showcase House of Design — set within Arcadia’s storied Baldwin Oaks Estate — welcomes visitors for its final weekend before closing May 17. This year’s showcase transforms the historic 1907 Arts & Crafts residence into a richly layered exploration of contemporary California design, with more than 30 interior and landscape spaces reimagined by leading designers from across the region.
Never before open to the public, Baldwin Oaks Estate was originally built for Clara Baldwin Stocker, daughter of Arcadia pioneer Elias “Lucky” Baldwin and known in society circles as “The Diamond Princess.” The oak-shaded property, with its grand staircase, hand-crafted wood detailing, and expansive grounds, serves as an evocative backdrop for this year’s design visionaries.
From richly paneled entertaining spaces to jewel-box bedrooms layered in texture and pattern, the home offers endless inspiration for designers and enthusiasts alike. Beyond the interiors, guests can enjoy gardens, boutique shopping, dining experiences, and curated events throughout the estate before the showcase concludes this Sunday.
Modern Bohemian— Bedroom by Ben Nichols
A warm, nostalgic retreat layered with artisanal texture and vintage spirit, Ben Nichols’ “Modern Bohemian” bedroom pairs honey-toned woods with graphic wallpaper and sculptural seating to create a quietly cinematic escape.
The Midnight Garden Room — Dining Room by House of Pontovi
House of Pontovi transforms the dining room into a moody, glamorous setting wrapped in rich wood paneling and luminous finishes. Statement fringe seating and a dramatic chandelier lend the room a contemporary elegance while honoring the home’s historic architecture.
Entertainment Room by Studio Joshua
Studio Joshua reimagines the entertainment room as a transportive gathering space, anchored by a dramatic custom billiards table and mural-inspired ceiling treatment. Saturated tones and layered detailing create a spirited atmosphere designed for modern entertaining.
The Arcadian Sanctuary — Primary Suite by Amorphous Studio
Amorphous Studio’s primary suite envelops visitors in rich greens, gilded ceilings, and nature-inspired motifs. Soft textures and tailored furnishings balance sophistication with serenity, creating a luxurious private retreat.
The 61st Pasadena Showcase House of Design remains open through May 17, 2026, in Arcadia. Proceeds benefit Pasadena Showcase House for the Arts and its ongoing support of local music and arts education initiatives throughout Southern California. Tickets are still available and can be purchased here.
